Many people living in America today believe that America is slowly sinking from its position as the greatest nation in the world. It was long believed that we were the most intelligent and productive population and this would keep us ahead of the rest of the world. We offered people a dream, the American Dream, and now our ability to offer them this dream is fading like the sun into the sea. The American Dream is setting because of several reasons; there is too much corporate greed, the diminishing middle class and a growing economic inequality, the continued racism and discrimination against certain groups of people, and drug infestation and violence in our cities.
